The purpose of the membership committee is to work to recruit and retain membership in the Association by extending invitations to graduates and sharing the benefits of being a member. 


The J.R.E. Lee (Jacksonville) Chapter of the Florida A & M University National Alumni Association is committed to providing scholarships to prospective students of Florida A&M University who might otherwise not have access to attaining their higher education goals.


Applicants must be accepted to attend Florida A & M University as a full time student for the upcoming Fall Semester, a high school senior attending school in Clay, Duval, or Nassau counties, and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.85 or above.


This committee is focused on, keeping the Chapter informed, and strengthening advocacy efforts that support Florida A&M University through strategies that influence policymakers.


Advocating for the Florida A&M University is rewarding and exciting. It requires nothing more than good will towards the University, and the willingness to share that feeling.

The Young Alumni Committee's major purpose is to reach out to recent graduates to help them build a strong network within Alumni Association and community, maintain a strong connection to the Alma Mater, and support the goals of the Alumni Association as a whole.  


The Athletics Committee shall serve as the primary liaison between the Chapter and the University regarding all University athletic matters; keep the membership apprised of the status of the various sports teams; assist in identifying financial support needed for the University’s intercollegiate athletic program; in conjunction with the Fundraising Committee, solicit resources, whether cash or in-kind, for the support of intercollegiate athletics at the University; and coordinate with the Athletic Department regarding needed Chapter assistance when teams are scheduled to compete in the Jacksonville Area.
